Although, in the current situation,
Ronova held the upper hand completely.
Actually defeating Yicheng Shen, however, was not so easy.
It came back to the same problem: his stats were simply too high.
Absurdly high, in fact.
So high that even Ronova found it difficult to kill Yicheng Shen outright.
She would have to expend a tremendous amount of cursed energy and weaken him first.
Some might have wondered: wasn't Ronova's cursed technique "All Things Die"?
Yes, it was indeed "All Things Die."
There was nothing wrong with its mechanics, either.
But even powerful mechanics needed the stats to back them up.
Take the most basic example: using Distance Kill to teleport.
The greater the distance she killed, the farther she teleported, and the more cursed energy she needed to expend.
That led to one particular result.
In theory, Ronova could kill distance to appear instantly in any corner of the universe.
Even at the edge of the universe.
In practice, however,
Ronova's cursed energy simply could not sustain that level of expenditure.
She could not accomplish something like that, even if it was theoretically possible.
So, in theory, Ronova could kill Yicheng Shen instantly.
In practice, actually killing him instantly was very difficult.
Yicheng Shen's stats were so high that Ronova could only accomplish it by spending almost all her cursed energy in a single instant.
Had this been a fight to the death, Ronova might actually have done so.
But it was not—at least, not for Ronova.
Yicheng Shen was difficult to kill, but he also had a hard time threatening her.
Besides, Yicheng Shen was already burning through his own life.
As long as Ronova stalled, it would not take long for Yicheng Shen to die on his own.
Ronova did not need to do anything. She
