Kakashi's face turned bright red; even through his mask, it was visible.
"Obito."
Terumi Mei was somewhat startled. She had not expected Utakata to be calling her name.
"Come to my side quickly. I'll take you home."
Kakashi seemed to hear Obito calling for him.
"You're the one who should come home with me. Konoha is your home."
Terumi Mei instantly flew into a rage.
"Since when did Konoha become your home? Hidden Mist Village is your home. Come back to Hidden Mist with me."
Kakashi noticed that his vision was becoming increasingly blurry.
"Obito, what have you been hiding in Hidden Mist all these years? Everyone has been waiting for you in Konoha. Why didn't you come back?"
Yet what Terumi Mei heard was something entirely different.
"Terumi Mei, what have you been doing in Hidden Mist all these years? Why didn't you come looking for me sooner? Why have you only come now?"
Itachi hid nearby and watched.
The conversation between Kakashi and Terumi Mei was extremely strange. To outsiders, it sounded completely disconnected, yet the two of them could communicate. It was truly bizarre.
Itachi asked, "Torune Aburame, how did your Powder Bugs make them so strange?"
"Didn't Naruto explain it to you, sir? My Powder Bugs have aphrodisiac effects."

"Kakashi is probably seeing and hearing things that exist only in hallucinations right now."
