Naruto casually dismissed the system panel, rose to his feet, and pushed open the heavy floor-to-ceiling window.
Thinking about killing the daimyō earlier still filled him with disgust.
"The daimyō of this world really are a bunch of headaches!"
When he had acted earlier, their reactions before death had been practically identical. With a blade at the Land of Earth's daimyō's throat, the man still took the time to straighten his wrinkled gold-thread ceremonial robes. He craned his neck and put on the airs of a royal noble, spittle flying everywhere. "Insolence! My sovereign authority is granted by the gods! If you dare kill me, you will suffer divine punishment!"
Naruto picked at his ear, wearing an expression that said, "What did you say? I didn't hear you," as he slowly pushed the blade forward another half inch. "Oh, granted by the gods, is it? Fine."
With one swift motion, Naruto killed him.
Then he stood beside the daimyō, who had been split in two, with his arms folded for a full three seconds. He even seriously looked up at the sky before finally shrugging. "See? The sky didn't collapse, no lightning struck, and your god didn't even fart. If you think I was wrong, have your god revive you! If not, then you had it coming."
When the Land of Lightning's daimyō was killed, his eyes went wide. He was so stunned that he failed to realize the script had gone wrong.
Only when the blade was pressed to his throat did he suddenly snap out of it and shout even louder than the Land of Earth's daimyō, "My sovereign authority really is granted by the gods! I was born a noble!"
Naruto gave an "oh" and delivered another clean, decisive slash.
