Ward's mind raced.
This was no coincidence.
If Fury had sent it to Coulson, that meant Fury was there.
And Garrett had told him to go there too, which meant...
So.
"Skye..."
Ward looked at her, wearing an expression that said, "This is hard for me too, but I have to do it."
"I think... Coulson is right."
"What?" Skye froze, staring at him in disbelief.
"I want to help you too, really." Ward spoke sincerely. "But Coulson is our superior. At least on this plane, we have to listen to him."
"Besides, if those coordinates really came from Director Fury... then no matter what, we have to check them out. Even if it's just to prove his innocence, or arrest him."
Ward turned and nodded at Coulson.
"Sir, I support your decision."
Coulson let out a breath and gave Ward an approving look.
"Thank you, Ward."
Skye looked at the two men and stomped her foot in anger.
"You... you're both completely unreasonable!"
"This isn't a democratic vote, Skye." Coulson regained his commanding authority, his tone leaving no room for argument.
"I'm the commander of this plane. As long as I'm on board, you follow my orders."
He turned to Melinda May.
"May, set a new course. Full speed to the coordinates."
"Copy." May wasted no words and pushed the control lever forward.
The plane's wings tilted. Amid the roar of its engines, The Bus carved a massive arc through the clouds and flew toward those mysterious coordinates.
Skye sat back down in her seat, fuming.
Watching everyone around her busily at work, she felt like an outsider.
"Fine... since you won't follow orders."
Skye bit her lip, her fingers quietly feeling around her wristwatch.
She sent a message through its encrypted channel.
[Operation obstructed. Coulson forcibly changed course.
