Skynet walked over to Homelander's side and placed a tablet in front of him.
A faint fragrance drifted into Homelander's nose.
"More perfume picked by big data?" Homelander asked.
"Chanel No. 5, the classic." Skynet smiled. "To business, sir."
"Just now, Miss Skye contacted Brock Rumlow."
"Oh?" Homelander raised an eyebrow. He had been so busy lately that he had forgotten about her. "That girl looking into her origins? Wasn't she running all over the world with Coulson?"
"Yes. But this time is different."
Skynet pulled up a satellite image.
It showed a wilderness in northern Canada.
"Skye sent back coordinates. It is Nick Fury's hiding place."
"And she brought a message."
"She said Nick Fury wanted to meet you."
"Fury apparently has several alien lifeforms under his control now, and he intends to use them as bargaining chips," Skynet reported. "Skye also mentioned that these alien beings know something about her parents."
"Interesting."
Homelander lightly tapped his fingers against the desk.
"Looks like this oversized rat is getting a little desperate."
"Ashley."
He pressed the intercom button on his desk.
"I'm here, sir."
Less than a minute later, the office doors were pushed open.
Ashley hurried inside. Her hairline seemed to have receded a little more since last week.
"I want to know my schedule for next week," Homelander said. "Clear an hour for me. I need to meet an 'old friend.'"
"Yes, sir. Please wait a moment."
