Harley Quinn jumped up in excitement. Without caring where they were, she threw her arms around Homelander's neck and planted a hard kiss on his handsome face.

"I knew you were the best! Love you, sweetie! You can call me Pumpkin now!"

"I'll always call you that, Pumpkin." Homelander patted her waist.

Bruce Wayne slammed his hand on the table, his voice stern.

"Absolutely not! Homelander, you have no idea how terrifying Superman is!"

"And it's not just his power! We're also up against Darkseid and the entire army of Apokolips!"

"We only have one chance!" Bruce stared at Homelander. "One chance to put everything right. We can't gamble it on your lone-hero act!"

"Put everything right?" Homelander narrowed his eyes, catching the crucial phrase, and looked straight at Bruce.

It was an immensely complicated device, with a huge wheel, tightly packed coils, and a control console connected to countless cables.

"This is the Cosmic Treadmill."

Bruce began to explain.

"Our plan isn't to defeat Superman. At this point, we've already lost."

"And The Flash is the key." He pointed to Barry Allen beside him.

"Barry has an extraordinary power called the Speed Force. If he runs fast enough, he can reverse time and travel into the past."

"We want him to use the Cosmic Treadmill to return to the day Metropolis fell, or even earlier, to the moment the Batcave was attacked."
