Morning sunlight fell across the war-scarred ruins.

On the shattered streets, the atmosphere was tense and everyone was busy.

The Amazon warriors silently cleared the battlefield. They laid their fallen comrades side by side, covered their faces with shields, and softly sang an ancient requiem.

Mera, queen of Atlantis, directed the Atlantean soldiers as they washed the thick blood from the streets with flowing water.

Barry, the Flash, shuttled through the ruins like an industrious ant. He dug out buried resistance fighters one by one and carried them to a makeshift medical station.

He was much slower than usual. Each time he stopped, he clutched his chest and gasped for breath. Exhaustion left him barely able to stand.

Everyone was busy except Harley Quinn.

She was absorbed in scrubbing dirt and blood from the hem of her white wedding dress, humming the wedding march as she worked.

"Why won't this bloodstain come out..." Harley frowned and scraped hard at a stubborn spot. "Mr. Milk Candy won't be happy if he sees me dressed like this."

She looked up and called to Bruce Wayne, who was having a wound bandaged nearby.

"Hey! Bat-boy! Got any stain remover in that utility belt of yours? The strong stuff!"

Bruce stopped what he was doing and looked up at the impossible woman.

"Harley, this isn't the time to worry about your dress. We don't even know if he can come back."

"Shut your damn mouth!" Harley bristled at once. "He's coming back! He promised me!"

"He's Homelander. He wouldn't lie to me. Say that again and I'll blow your balls off!"

With that, she walked to the heart-shaped floral arch in the center of the square.

Half the arch had collapsed in the battle, leaving rose petals scattered across the ground.

She crouched
