"N-no! Absolutely not!"
The waitress snapped out of her daze and tried to push the room-service cart through the door. In her panic, she rammed it into the doorframe. A glass of milk rocked violently, nearly spilling.
"I'm sorry! I'm so sorry! I'm such a klutz..." she stammered. She no longer dared look Homelander in the eye, stealing glances from the corners of her eyes instead. Her legs felt weak.
Endorphins flooded her body, filling her with an overwhelming urge to throw herself into his arms.

"It's fine. Just leave it there." Homelander didn't give her any trouble.
The waitress pushed the cart inside, then practically fled the suite.
As the door closed, Homelander clearly heard her leaning against the hallway wall outside, breathing hard.
"Works like a charm." Satisfied, Homelander picked up the milk and took a sip.

"Let's see what this Superhero Blind Box has for me."
The blue light faded.
A rather flashy metal cylinder landed in his palm.
The flashlight's surface had a matte silver-gray finish, and its grip was knurled to prevent slipping.
A hemispherical transparent lens ringed the front. On the side was a sliding switch marked with a red "+" and a blue "-".
At the rear sat a precision adjustment dial with an LCD display.
