"Homelander?" Jiaying sneered coldly. "You're too naive, Skye."
"I've heard of him from Gordon. I don't know him, but I know humans!"
"I've lived for many long years and seen the ugliest side of them. A man with absolute power—do you really think he'd be a saint?" Jiaying pressed her point.
"Once this so-called Homelander discovers someone possesses power that could threaten him, he'll kill them without hesitation!"
"Shut up!" Skye shouted furiously. "He's different!"
She could not stand hearing anyone slander Homelander like that. In her heart, Homelander was a line that could not be crossed.
"When the apocalypse came, he used his own body to block all that destruction. He saved my life, and he saved this world!"
In her agitation, a shockwave erupted from Skye's body.
The walls of the wooden cabin shook violently, and the teacups on the table shattered. Jiaying was pushed back several steps by the force and slammed into the wooden wall.
