"Time is our true enemy!"

"Death is a disgrace forced upon humanity!"

Strange tilted his head to dodge a flying plank and shot back coldly, "Death is a disgrace? What about the people you killed?"

"They don't matter," Kaecilius said with a dismissive shrug. "They're a small sacrifice for all humanity to gain eternal life."

"Doctor, I'm not trying to destroy the world. I'm trying to save everyone."

Anger burned inside Strange.

He couldn't stomach another word of Kaecilius's grandiose cult rhetoric.

All he knew was that he had just broken his oath as a doctor and killed two people with his own hands. The torment left him desperate to end this damned fight.

Strange pretended Kaecilius's words were getting through to him and deliberately slowed his movements.

Seeing Strange's attacks lose pace, Kaecilius thought his words were working.

He pressed his advantage. "Even the Ancient One draws power from the Dark Dimension to stay alive. She's a fraud who maintains her rule through lies."
