The Father of the Gods, Odin.

Homelander's pupils contracted slightly.

On this old man, his Spider-Sense detected a threat.

A genuine threat.

If Odin had been in his prime, Homelander knew he would most likely have been utterly crushed.

But now...

The old man was close to dying of old age.

The flame of his life was already like a candle flickering in the wind. He could not afford to act rashly unless he wanted to hold his own funeral early.

"Odin." Homelander did not bow or flatter him. He did not even lower his head.

He straightened his back and lifted his feet slightly off the ground, bringing himself level with Odin, who sat atop an eight-legged steed.

"I have long admired your name." Homelander smiled. "I am Homelander. Earth's... protector."

"Protector?" Odin's one eye fixed on him coldly, as though it could see through his soul. "I have seen into your heart, mortal."

"What I see is not protection, but desire."

"You crave worship. You crave power. You crave to stand above all living things."

"Father!" Thor hurriedly cut in. "His personality may be awful, but he just saved Jane, and he previously saved Midgard too..."

"Silence, Thor. You always let my words go in one ear and out the other!" Odin rebuked him. "You brought mortals back to Asgard, already committing a grave taboo. They do not belong in Asgard, just as goat meat does not belong on a banquet table."

"Goat meat?" Homelander laughed.

"Are one-eyed people all this annoying, old man? That presbyopic eye of yours ought to be fitted with glasses."

Homelander slowly floated before Odin, leaving less than three meters between them.

The golden-armored soldiers around them instantly drew their swords, their killing intent surging.

"And I prefer another term—God of Humanity."

Homelander
