Flames surged to the heavens.
A savage fire dragon a thousand feet long dyed almost the entire sky red.
The Crimson-Blood Demon Emperor stood at the heart of the sea of fire.
In that searing heat, even his patterned fur gave off the stench of burning.
His once-sleek coat had curled and yellowed, leaving him looking rather bedraggled.
Yet his face showed not the slightest trace of pain.
Instead, he extended his scarlet tongue and licked his fangs, allowing the flames to burn his body as he strode out of the sea of fire.
"Little phoenix, did you skip your meals, or are you trying to keep this emperor warm?"
Before his words had faded-
Roar!!!
A tiger's roar shattered the flames filling the sky.
The demonic aura he had kept somewhat restrained erupted in full.
He raised an enormous paw that blotted out the sky and sun, ignored the fire dragon coiling around him, and smashed it down before him.
Rumble!
The air exploded.
Under that blow, the seemingly invincible fire dragon proved as fragile as a loach, instantly smashed into streaks of flame that scattered in every direction.
Above the clouds.
The woman's expression changed sharply.
She had never imagined that this sickly cat, who normally did nothing but sleep, possessed such a formidable body.
He had taken her innate true fire head-on without suffering so much as a scratch.
She snorted coldly, but a trace of helplessness and resentment rose within her.
Her own lord possessed powers that reached through heaven and earth, yet his temper had only grown milder and milder.
Now that his subordinate had nearly been slaughtered, not only was he unangered, he was even willing to swallow the insult.
Otherwise, why would she, a lone woman, have had to come to
