She and I, Nine-to-One

The courtyard of the Heaven Division was far quieter than imagined.

Unlike Xuan Camp, where people often trained in the yard or gathered in twos and threes to chat, the entire courtyard stood empty and silent.

As Jiang Yuechu looked around, the door to a side room opened, and two figures emerged.

One of them was broad and burly, with a fierce bearing. Jiang Yuechu remembered him.

But halfway through his words, he noticed the young woman beside him, and his voice abruptly died away.
