Once she had the suit on, she shrank to the size of an ant in a blur.
Using the furniture around her, Hope made a few leaps and reached the window, where a flying ant was waiting outside.
She was about to jump onto it when a huge transparent object came straight at her.
With a soft thunk, Hope crashed into it.
Looking closer, she realized it was a glass.
And the person holding it was Apocalypse.
No matter how quietly Hope moved, how could she escape his notice?
After seeing how she had acted during the day, Apocalypse had already guessed she might do something rash.
He turned the glass upside down on the table.
Hope slammed into it a few times, but it didn't budge. She was secretly astonished.
A charge from her carried dozens, perhaps hundreds, of pounds of force, all concentrated into an ant-sized body. The impact was stronger than an ordinary bullet.
The glass should have shattered long ago.
How could it be completely undamaged?
Every time she hit it, it felt as though she were striking a springy wall that bounced her back.
