"All right." The Skrull chose to trust him. "What is it?"
Nick Fury's expression tightened. "Bring Goose down here."
Goose was the name of that Flerken that looked remarkably like a cat.
No one knew what the Flerken's original name was, or even whether it had ever had one.
Nick Fury had named it "Goose" while petting the cat.
The cat had not seemed particularly pleased, though, and scratched out one of Nick Fury's eyes as a warning.
Nick Fury had personally watched it eat Kree soldiers, then swallow and regurgitate the Tesseract. He knew full well that this little cat was not to be trifled with.
After all, it was a creature whose stomach could swallow an entire universe.
Losing one eye was no big deal to Nick Fury. What he feared was that one day, this little cat might get carried away and swallow an entire city—or even the whole Earth.
That was why he dared not keep it on Earth. He had sent it to a space laboratory and left the Skrulls to care for it.
The Skrull said, "I'll test its mood and see whether it is willing to leave its nest."
