Later, in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Skrulls briefly impersonated Director Fury and Agent Hill, helping Spider-Man fight "Mysterio."
Meanwhile, Fury took the opportunity to steal a little time off, vacationing amid virtual holographic scenery.
Back at S.H.I.E.L.D.
Seeing so many people, the Skrull in the holographic video grew flustered. "Fury, they..."
Fury raised a hand. "Don't panic. They're all trustworthy Earthlings. It's time some people learned of your existence."
"After all, you can't hide forever."
"All right." The Skrull had no choice but to trust him. "What do you need?"
Fury's expression tightened. "Bring Goose down."
Goose was the name of the Flerken that looked so much like a cat.
No one knew what the Flerken's original name had been, or whether she had even had one.
Fury had named her "Goose" while petting her.
But the cat apparently hadn't been pleased, clawing out one of Fury's eyes as a warning.
Fury had personally watched her eat Kree soldiers, then swallow and spit out the Tesseract. He knew full well that this little kitty wasn't to be trifled with.
After all, this was a creature whose stomach could swallow an entire universe.
Losing an eye himself was one thing. What worried Fury was that this little kitty might one day get carried away and swallow a city, or even the whole Earth.
So he hadn't dared keep her on Earth, leaving her in the space laboratory for the Skrulls to look after.
The Skrull said, "Then I'll see what mood she's in and whether she's willing to leave her bed."
Fury nodded. "If Goose refuses, tell her that Earth's strongest man is taking her out for something delicious. There's an entire universe for her to eat as she pleases."
The Skrull understood at once. "The Apocalypse King wants her?"
"Yes.
