In early in the seventh month, before the height of the rainy season arrived, the kingdom's Eastern Expedition army, with help from "inside men," captured Hidden Snake Holy City in one fell swoop. Black Wolf Toltec personally took command there, purging the Hidden Snake God-descendants and priests. In all, more than six thousand people were sacrificed, and over fifty thousand tribesmen were converted. And the banner of the Main God, three years after the Eastern Expedition against the Totonac began, finally appeared at the easternmost edge of the Coastal Lands as midsummer arrived!
The fall of Hidden Snake Holy City and the destruction of the Hidden Snake Priesthood were, to the Totonac Coastal Tribes, the ruin of an ancient faith—and even more, an indescribable, violently shattering shock to the soul. As the news spread, the Totonac tribes of the Coastal Lands nearly all lost the will to keep resisting. And the tribes that had originally been waging guerrilla resistance in the jungle, or migrating deeper into the jungle, also submitted one after another to the newborn Coastal Alliance, some even surrendering as entire tribes.

Black Wolf held his newly acquired "divine artifact," utterly unwilling to halt his conquering steps. In the middle of the seventh month, the Kingdom Legion scattered into encampments, swept across a two-hundred-li radius east of Hidden Snake City, and conquered nearly a hundred thousand Hidden Snake people and east-migrating tribes. And the kingdom's encampments occupied the Olmec Second Ancient City as well—the ancient and sacred sacrificial ground, La Venta.
