Night Rain, Untitled

The night was deep, the rain grew fierce; by dusk, the wind had nowhere to rest.

Up close, I watched the flowers fall; far off, I heard the cats cry urgently.

Thirty years of drifting life; in drunken dreams, a million troops.

Once I fell into the sea of dust, Bronze Sword was no match for Gold Sword.

So I took Gold Sword away, to trade for wine and return in ten years.

Half a cup of light fell into the night; half a cup held the old days and now.

All my close friends wore golden shoes; every old acquaintance was dressed in purple.

I lowered my head to look at my straw sandals, then raised it to the moon's thin shadow.

Wordless, I only laughed long and loud, lifted my brush, and entered the Cold Palace.

Chang'e was about to offer wine; from above the clouds, she asked when I would return.

I drank with friends and did not get drunk. Remembering the past, instead, I did. I scribbled a little poem at random, meow meow meow meow mimi~
