After the author and editor had a serious discussion, this book was moved from the "History—Foreign History" category to the "Fantasy—Epic Fantasy" category. In other words, it went from one very, very cold niche to another niche that wasn't quite as cold. Mm, you could call it a final struggle and effort to let more people see it!
Pat, pat. The reason for switching channels was to increase collections and performance, and to gain more readers. As it happened, the book also contained some elements of the mysterious side. Overall, the main content of this book was an imperial epic of the Age of Discovery, a serious deduction of national development, maritime exploration, and the clash of civilizations.
The powers of the mysterious side in the book were limited to reincarnation, prophecy, Voodoo, and potions—that is, unresolved truths that had once appeared in history. More specifically, they were the soul reincarnation of the Pyramid of the Moon, ancient Maya prophecies, Aztec prophecies and Blade Water, mushroom-type potions of the North American Indians, West African Voodoo, Inca Ayahuasca, and medieval Europe's Divine Inspiration of the Lord and Devil Worship, accompanied by many ritual phantom sounds from historical records. Therefore, the mysterious-side elements would mainly take the form of prophecies and hallucinations, and there would be no mysterious power exceeding the historical record.
So, this book was an epic novel of the Age of Discovery, with a rigorous historical bent and a low-magic reality. Even after switching channels, I would still write as before: carefully look up materials, build models, deduce reasonably, and work hard to update!
