"A divine artifact bestowed by the Main God, unstoppable against anything! The cannon burst. It burst."
A flock of crows flew across the distant Sky, leaving behind a burst of joyful cawing. Xolotl sat beneath the top of the great tent, pinching the casting master's letter between his fingers, his face shifting between green and purple. A moment later, he calmed himself, drew a deep breath, and patiently read on again.
"Your Majesty, more than two years ago, you once left behind many fragmented, disorderly, and vague Divine Revelations, and mentioned a short, thick mortar used specifically for siege warfare."
"Fragmented, disorderly, and vague"—seeing such a blunt comment, Xolotl's brows rose, and his fingers tightened around the letter.
Still, that was the truth. Much of the time, so-called "Divine Revelation" was merely him putting forward a technical direction he remembered as correct, then describing the shape of the creation. As for exactly how to achieve it, and what the technical details were, those all had to be slowly explored by the professional craftsman masters themselves, solving each difficulty one by one.
And through that process, the craftsmen masters' abilities had clearly improved. Take Tiripi, who was exploring cannon casting. After years of casting cannons, he had already accumulated a great deal of experience, enough to independently research and manufacture mortars.
"...You once said that the length of the barrel determines range, the size of the caliber determines power, and the weight of the cannon body affects mobility. For heavy cannons used in sieges, the larger the caliber, the better, while range is instead secondary. Of course, the weight of a siege cannon can be increased; as long as it can be transported, even a bit more slowly is no problem."
"Following that line of thought, I designed a new Siege
