The most recent chapters were blocked. I revised them, but they were rejected again. I'll have to wait two days before I can apply to have them unblocked again. The reason lies with me; if they want to find faults, they can find them no matter what. Strictly speaking, there's nothing much to complain about.

But this author is a little lost, and also rather downhearted. From morning to night, I updated six chapters in a single day, and right when my enthusiasm was high, taking a blow like this suddenly left me dispirited. Perhaps this incident was only a fuse! Or perhaps Heaven wanted to tell me that no matter how hard I tried, with such a niche subject and such a small audience, there would never be much hope.

When I first started writing this book, my thoughts were very simple: I just wanted to show everyone the lost ancient civilizations of the Americas. So I would look through a great deal of material and carefully tell the stories of the various peoples of the Mexica Plateau, tell of the Maya people's divided present and glorious history, tell of the life and culture of the Taino people in Cuba, and tell of those numerous and varied native tribes of the North American continent.

There are always many people asking why I keep writing about the Americas, why I don't hurry up and have Columbus arrive, then start slaughtering left and right, detonating the point of conflict and bringing about the climax of the plot. I always answer, "The deduction hasn't reached that point." But in reality, I've deduced a great deal and planted many foreshadowings in advance—many interesting perceptions and "misunderstandings," as well as a whole series of European reactions. I believe those will be very classic scenes,
