Xia Ya switched on the loudspeaker and shouted to the Orb soldier holding the girl, who had stopped in shock at the firefight just now:
"I'll suppress the enemy units! Get that child somewhere safe, quickly!"
Before he had even finished speaking, Xia Ya ignited his thrusters and piloted the battered Blaze Gundam straight toward several ZAFT Ginns closing in from the other side.
He kept the electromagnetic cannons deployed while activating the cannons on his back. The four barrels roared in alternating succession, weaving a dense barrage that instantly turned the airspace ahead into a killing zone.
While sweeping the surrounding enemy units with a frenzied hail of fire, he wielded his Beam Saber and slipped into the enemy formation like a phantom, dealing with the Strike Daggers that had evaded the bombardment and attempted to engage him at close range.
However, losing one arm and his shield was a fatal handicap.
It meant he had completely lost any means of blocking or defending. Against attacks coming from every direction, evasion was his only option.
Under such circumstances, no matter how skilled he was, he could not stand against so many enemies alone.
On the ground, swarms of Strike Daggers formed intersecting fields of fire, constantly squeezing the Blaze Gundam's room to maneuver.
Above, ZAFT units of every kind—Ginns, CGUEs, DINNs, and more—held the high ground, relentlessly harassing and attacking him with rockets and machine guns.
The only thing worth being thankful for was that the most terrifying unit, the Justice Gundam, had not joined the siege. If it had, the situation could only have been described as "desperate." Yet for some reason, it was nowhere to be seen.
Even so, not to mention the Earth Alliance soldiers, even the ZAFT Forces soldiers who had just watched their comrades
