Angel Group.
President's Office.
"Our people sent word that the number of piranhas in Lake Libe is decreasing."
A professional woman who looked to be in her late twenties
was standing before Alisa, holding a tablet as she reviewed the data that had been sent back and delivered her report.
"Have those people at Kast made any moves?"
Alisa frowned slightly.
Clearly, she was far from satisfied with the current results.
"No. There have still been no actions on Kast's side."
The assistant answered respectfully.
"What about Kate? Has he sent back any news from inside the family?"
"Ever since Mr. Kate returned to the Kester Family, he has not contacted us again."
After hearing that, Alisa's delicate brows furrowed even more deeply.
Things did not seem to be developing according to her predictions.
She had originally thought that after warning Ye Yuan,
with that man's destructive abilities, he should have quickly blown the matter up until everyone knew about it.
Yet now, the only change was the decreasing number of piranhas in Lake Libe.
And all signs indicated that this matter seemed unrelated to him.
Could her words really have frightened him?
So he had not tried to uncover Kast's secrets at all?
Although Angel Group was nominally in a cooperative relationship with the Kast Biology Laboratory,
Alisa herself knew very clearly
that those old fossils at Kast had never taken her, the president of Angel Group, seriously.
Those people had always believed that their only true partner was the Kester Family.
Angel Group was merely a puppet the Kester Family had placed in the open.
And she herself played a role no better than that of a clown.
That made her extremely uncomfortable.
That was also why she had warned Ye Yuan.
She wanted to muddy the waters.
