Li Shiyun is Zhang Wujin's cousin. At age 24, she introduced herself to Ye Yuan as a Stanford Law School graduate pursuing a Master's in Law, formerly an intern at her mentor's firm and then a lawyer at Hengde Law Firm in Shangjing. She also served as legal adviser for Ye Yuan and Zhang Wujin's tourist-area project. Two years before her condition became known, Li Shiyun was diagnosed with a brain tumor in Country M. She concealed its worsening condition from her family, intending to leave Huaguo rather than let them witness her decline. Her famous coldness was a protective shell meant to keep others at a distance.
