Eli rubbed the Time-Turner and murmured, "A clue?"
Lupin stood up, his Wand slowly probing around the area as though searching for something.
"The Time-Turner is worn around the neck like a necklace. Since it wasn't broken but the people are gone, why couldn't it have been deliberately left behind?"
Eli pondered for a moment, then suddenly had an idea. "That's right. I think Harry and the others' disappearance might have something to do with this Time-Turner!"
Lupin stepped over. "Can you still remember when they left?"
Eli nodded.
Lupin took the Time-Turner and placed it around both their necks, then put it in Eli's hand. "Each turn of the Time-Turner represents one hour. Don't turn it wrong. If you run into yourselves, no one knows what the consequences will be!"
Lupin's grave expression convinced Eli that the result would definitely not be good.
After calculating the time in his head, he carefully examined the Time-Turner.
Once he was sure he had not misread anything, he slowly began turning the Time-Turner. Both of them held their breath, scarcely daring to breathe.
When Eli had turned it twice, everything around them began crazily speeding backward, leaving long afterimages behind.
Something seemed to be pounding hard beside his ears, leaving him unable to hear anything else.
They did not know how much time had passed. They could not calculate it, but it did not seem to have been long.
The scenery around them gradually stabilized, as though everything had been restored. There was no trace at all of what Eli had done.
The sky was brighter as well. It seemed they really had gone back two hours.
They were still in the same place.
Lupin curiously looked around. This was his first time experiencing time travel too.
