Shell Cottage was small, but it had everything it needed.
As a house built by Wizards, it would have seemed rather cheap without a few Undetectable Extension Charms. Shell Cottage had gained quite a few rooms through the Undetectable Extension Charm, enough to accommodate everyone, though it was still a little cramped.
After everyone had divided up the rooms, Eli went over to Sirius Black, with Harry following behind him.
Sirius Black no longer had the swagger of someone who had just made wild boasts. He clutched a crumpled note in his hand, head lowered and silent, as though he wanted to see through the paper and carve its contents into his heart.
Eli quietly approached Sirius Black and caught sight of the R.A.B. on the note. He let out a soft sigh, afraid of disturbing the grief-stricken Sirius Black, and remained silent as well.
Then a laugh so faint it was nearly inaudible sounded out, followed at last by Sirius Black's voice.
"I knew you wouldn't disappoint me that badly." Sirius Black seemed to be speaking to the note's owner. Then he looked at Eli and Harry. "You know, when I was little, my unhinged mother used to beat me with her Wand. That kid actually dared to stand in front of her when she'd gone mad. You have to understand, he didn't even have his own Wand back then. But I'd never liked him. He was just like those Pure-blood-addled relatives of mine, and I'd never given him a proper look. James Potter and I even used to bully him, right after he expressed his admiration for that man. We were pretty vicious. His nose was as exaggerated as a House-elf's, and it took three days to heal..."
Sirius Black chattered on about every story connected to Regulus.
