Many who arrived late could not help feeling annoyed. After that wave of frenzied buying, they surely would not be able to purchase any more potions from the shop.

Yet some still came in just to take a look, only to discover that new stock was continuously being placed on the counters. Where was this supposed shortage of supply?

Those who had arrived late were overjoyed, directly setting off wave after wave of frantic buying once more.

Of course, not every household had some ailment that required medicine. It was simply the urge to grab a bargain at work.

Most of them had never seen such high-end potions before, much less potions of this quality that were somehow ten percent cheaper than ordinary ones.

What if one day, this shop suddenly vanished again like it had before? Where would they go then?

That was why the frenzy had erupted. Everyone wanted to buy a bottle or two; even just keeping them at home was a mark of status, and they could point them out and brag a little whenever guests came over.

Even though each person bought only a small amount, there were simply too many people.

Had the counter not been enchanted, it would have long since burst from being stuffed with coins.

Mundungus sat beside the counter, guarding it as fiercely as a vicious dog protecting its food, terrified that someone might snatch it away from him.

The other potion shops did not react too strongly. By then, the clerks each shop had sent out to investigate had all hurried back carrying a bottle of potion.
