Background / History

Dumbledore was once closely aligned with Gellert Grindelwald, sharing ideals and ambitions with him in their youth. Their conflict ultimately led to the death of Dumbledore’s sister and the loss of his closest relationships; Dumbledore later defeated Grindelwald and became celebrated as the greatest White Wizard. 38
