The three of them crossed the bridge and stepped onto the opposite shore.
Ahead, the dense forest parted automatically to either side, revealing a path carpeted with fine white sand.
At the end of the path stood a city, quietly bathed in the lingering glow of the sunset.
Lin Wan raised his eyes and looked ahead.
The city was indeed not large. Its walls stood only a little over five meters tall, neatly built from bluish-gray stone bricks that glimmered with a warm sheen beneath the setting sun.
Compared to the forest they had passed through on their way here, the terrain here was noticeably higher. From this position, they could almost take in the outline of the entire city at a glance.
It lacked the oppressive grandeur of Heaven Dou City, and it did not possess the grim, martial air of Star Luo City.
It was simply a small city.
Quiet, clean, and untouched by worldly strife.
But Lin Wan's gaze was soon drawn to the towering structure at the center of the city.
The building was twenty or thirty meters tall, constructed entirely from dark-blue stone. Its design somewhat resembled the Seahorse Sacred Pillar, but it was far broader, more like a tower.
Most eye-catching was its summit, where a massive seahorse statue raised its head toward the sky. Under the sunset, it seemed as though it had been edged in gold.
Seahorse Douluo Ou Ya followed his gaze, smiled faintly, and raised a hand toward the building.
"That is the City Lord's Manor. Sea God Island has seven Sacred Pillars and seven cities. This is Seahorse City, which I protect."
He paused, his voice carrying both pride and reverence.
"Seahorse City is home to roughly twelve hundred people. They are all the Sea God's most devoted believers.
