Ch. 141Hope
Chapter summary
Yu Xiaogang receives a letter from his father, Yu Yuanzhen, describing Ge Duo, a mysterious Titled Douluo in Heaven Dou City who can refine powerful pills. One pill reportedly lets Soul Masters absorb Soul Rings beyond their normal limits; Yu Yuanzhen also believes Ge Duo may be able to help with Yu Xiaogang’s defective Martial Soul and his inability to advance past level thirty.
The possibility fills Yu Xiaogang with hope, though he cautions himself that the rumors may not solve his long-standing problem. Still, determined not to miss even a small chance, he decides to travel to Heaven Dou City and meet Ge Duo.
Yu Xiaogang also considers Tang San and Cinderella, two gifted students whom he has taught extensively. He is frustrated that they respect him as a teacher but have not formally become his disciples, believing their father, Tang Hao, is the obstacle. He plans to bring them to Heaven Dou City and, if he can obtain the pills, give them Soul Ring-enhancing medicine. He expects this favor to earn their gratitude and eventually secure their discipleship—while keeping the true purpose of the trip secret until he knows it can succeed.
After classes, Yu Xiaogang approaches Tang San and Cinderella in the academy garden as they head to the dining hall. Cinderella greets him warmly, and the chapter ends as their conversation is about to begin.
