Entering School

What is evil? Nietzsche said that anything stemming from weakness is evil.

Chen Ze, a university student who had pulled an all-nighter playing League of Legends, transmigrated to another world with the regret of his team's nexus being destroyed after the enemy Yasuo scored a pentakill.

He was a helpless infant with bright yellow hair.

At first, Chen Ze thought he had died suddenly and been reincarnated, but it wasn't until his parents named him Ryuuen Kakeru that he realized he hadn't been reborn, but rather his soul had transmigrated.

Sixteen years passed in the blink of an eye. In those sixteen years, Ryuuen Kakeru spent his time starting businesses, training, and picking up girls, all in preparation for entering Advanced Nurturing High School.

Advanced Nurturing High School is one of Japan's top high schools, rumored to have a 100% employment rate, where graduates are guaranteed to land their dream jobs. That's what the promotional brochure said, anyway; as for whether one could actually graduate smoothly, Ryuuen was noncommittal.

The original Ryuuen's dream was to become an entrepreneur, a dream Chen Ze had already helped him achieve. Now, entering Advanced Nurturing High School, Ryuuen had only one goal: to lead Class C to Class A.

Before school started, Ryuuen got a haircut, styling his hair into a Wolf Tail (referencing Azuma Michinaga's Wolf Tail from Kamen Rider Geats). The new look made Ryuuen appear much fresher.

On the bus, Ryuuen sat in a double seat near the aisle. He could have had a driver take him to school, but then he would have missed the drama on the bus.

Kushida Kikyo, Horikita Suzune, Ayanokouji Kiyotaka, Kouenji Rokusuke—four faces that were both familiar and unfamiliar.

Kushida, wearing an innocent, harmless expression, asked Kouenji if he would give up his seat for an elderly person. Of course, Kouenji refused. While Kushida was still struggling, Ryuuen stood up to help her out, casually standing right beside her.

As for these "defective products" from Class D, though each had their own reasons for not giving up their seats, they were all just selfish remarks from egoists.

Of course, Ryuuen's act of standing up and offering a seat wasn't out of kindness; it was merely a small ploy to get closer to Kushida.

"Thank you," Kushida politely thanked Ryuuen.

Ryuuen accepted Kushida's thanks with a clear conscience: "Hello, my name is Ryuuen Kakeru. I'm in Class C, first year. Please take care of me."

"Class D, first year, Kushida Kikyo. Please take care of me."

Kushida bowed slightly during her self-introduction. Upon closer inspection, Kushida was truly beautiful—bright eyes and white teeth, pink lips and fair skin, and a very good figure. Ayanokouji's original "handprint" wasn't for nothing. If he hadn't preferred long black hair, Kushida's appearance score would have been higher than Horikita's.

"Ryuuen-kun, what do you think of the new school? I'm quite excited, and I hope to make friends with everyone," Kushida initiated a conversation with Ryuuen.

"The next three years are definitely going to be very interesting."

Ryuuen showed an inscrutable smile. Even the skilled dissembler Kushida couldn't detect anything unusual about Ryuuen's smile.

"Speaking of which, Kushida-chan, you're really strange."

Looking at Kushida's innocent, harmless face, Ryuuen wanted to tease her. As expected, upon hearing Ryuuen's words, Kushida's smile clearly faltered, appearing very unnatural. She was probably wondering if Ryuuen had seen through her facade.

"Huh? Is there something strange about me?" Kushida adjusted quickly.

"Of course! Isn't it strange for someone to be excited about the start of school? I heard there's an entrance exam, and I was up all night studying for it," Ryuuen said without hesitation.

"Ah? We have an entrance exam?! Oh no!" Kushida looked a bit flustered. It seemed she was completely unprepared.

Seeing Kushida Kikyo's panicked expression, Ryuuen laughed out loud: "I was just messing with you. I was just up all night playing games. If there really was an exam, why wouldn't the school notify us in advance?"

"Ryuuen-kun!"

"My bad, my bad." Seeing Kushida's fake smile turn into a slightly annoyed, cute expression, Ryuuen found it very amusing to tease her this way.

"Ryuuen-kun, you're surprisingly a bit devious," Kushida said, visibly relieved after realizing Ryuuen hadn't seen through her facade, and putting on her innocent, harmless face once more.

"I'm not just devious. I look forward to our next meeting."

The bus arrived at Advanced Nurturing High School, and Ryuuen was the first to get off.

Gazing at the school gates, Ryuuen could barely contain his excitement: "It's finally beginning."
