There were still some ingredients left in Ryuuen's room, but Horikita had no obligation to make him a late-night snack. Besides, he usually did not like snacks, so there was nothing in his room to eat.
He could just go down to the convenience store and buy something to fill his stomach. Ryuuen was not the fussy type; instant noodles with sausage were delicious enough.
Just as Ryuuen was slurping his instant noodles, Ibuki called him.
"What is it?"
"I'm at Keyaki Mall. Come over."
Ibuki would not bother being polite to someone impolite.
"What exactly is it?"
"You'll know when you get here."
"Then I'm not going."
"You'll regret it if you don't come."
After wolfing down his noodles as quickly as possible, Ryuuen still went to Keyaki Mall.
Ryuuen called Ibuki.
"Where are you?"
"Can't you see me? I'm right at the entrance to the fortune-telling tent. I can see you already!" Ibuki sounded annoyed, as though blaming Ryuuen for being blind.
Turning his head, Ryuuen saw that Ibuki really was standing in line. He was speechless. He had thought it was something important, but it turned out to be related to fortune-telling.
"The thing you said I'd regret missing was fortune-telling?"
"This fortune-teller is really accurate!"
"You believe in that? Why not give me the money and let me tell your fortune?" Ryuuen had never expected Ibuki to believe in this sort of thing, but on second thought, she was a girl after all. It made sense that she would be interested in things like divination.
"I'm not going to fall for it like that idiot Ishizaki."
Ryuuen smiled. "You two are about evenly matched."
"Get lost. If I could find someone else, would I have called you to come with me?"
Ryuuen did not understand.
