A little toad took in every word of the master and disciple's late-night conversation.

Jiraiya sighed. Was Orochimaru still so intolerant of others? His heart was full of darkness.

Before Minato's Team set out on their mission.

"Obito, return this bucket of protein powder to Masaichi." Clearly, Minato knew it was poisoned. He did not know why the master and disciple wanted to poison him to death, but holding them accountable or reporting them was not in his nature.

Obito liked them fully yellow, because they were sweeter.

He did not know whether Masaichi had done something to wrong him, but he had actually asked Anko to bring him bananas.

Even if you apologize with bananas, I won't forgive you. At most, I'll talk to you a little more.

Rin also tried eating a few. She did not dare eat too many, afraid she would gain weight.

Qing Shui naturally ate all the green ones.

Minato's Team encountered Mahiru, an elite Jonin from the Hidden Rock Village. Eager to test his new technique, Chidori, Kakashi moved too fast and lacked sufficient vision, falling into danger. Minato used Flying Raijin to instantly kill Mahiru and save Kakashi.

"Actually, you didn't need to save me. I could have killed him with taijutsu too," Kakashi said arrogantly.

"Kakashi..." Minato had a thousand things he wanted to say. Forget it. He would talk after the mission was over.

The White Zetsu disguised as Hidden Rock ninja standing guard stared blankly at Orochimaru and Masaichi, who was carrying Minato.

This was not how the script was supposed to go.

It was different from what Lord Madara had said.

Hadn't he said Minato would come to draw the Hidden Rock ninja's firepower, and they only needed to join forces with the Hidden Rock Village's ninja and risk their lives to hold Minato back?!

Why was Minato, the protagonist of the story, down?
