Lu Mingfei grew stronger through brutal training, learned Dragon Communion, and set out to defeat Margit so he could travel between the Lands Between and Earth. After many failed attempts, he killed Margit and opened the way toward Stormveil Castle.

• Lu Mingfei struggled to survive in Limgrave, defeated the Beastman of Farum Azula, and accepted Melina’s offer to guide him.
• Lu Mingfei rescued Boc, entered Coastal Cave, and summoned Emiya Shirou, who explained how Tarnished could return to their worlds by defeating Margit.
• At the Church of Dragon Communion, an old knight recruited Lu Mingfei as a Storm Knight and trained him in swordsmanship and Storm techniques.
• Lu Mingfei hunted Flying Dragon Agheel, took its heart, and chose to undergo the Dragon Communion ritual, awakening new power and black scales.
• Lu Mingfei mastered Dragon Communion incantations after defeating a spectral Storm Knight in Fringefolk Hero's Grave, then left the old knight to continue his mission.
• After repeated deaths at Stormgate, Lu Mingfei cleared Castleward Tunnel and confronted Margit, who defeated him many times.

Lu Mingfei returned from the Lands Between to save Nono and kill Norton, then came back to Stormveil to test his strength and press on toward Godrick. The arc left him choosing to live for himself as he reconciled with Zero and kept his promise to her.

• Lu Mingfei returned to the Three Gorges, awakened his Word Spirits, and saved Nono before diving back into the river to fight Norton.
• Lu Mingfei wielded Wrath and Dragon Communion against Norton, recognized the Dragon King as his friend Old Tang, and killed him despite his grief.
• After recovering, Lu Mingfei met Angers, learned the Bronze and Flame King were twin brothers, and concealed Norton’s remains while accepting praise for the mission.
• Caesar thanked Lu Mingfei for saving him and Nono, gave him Night Tempering, and settled the costs of Norton House and Lu Mingfei’s repaired car.
• Lu Mingfei returned to the Lands Between, met the Roundtable Hold residents, and chose Gostoc’s cliffside route into Stormveil despite the dangers.
• An old knight challenged Lu Mingfei to find his own path, and Lu Mingfei decided to fight because he wanted to try before asking Ken Kaneki to help him through Stormveil.
• Lu Mingfei and Ken Kaneki fought their way past Godrick’s soldiers and a Grafted Scion, then Lu Mingfei briefly returned to Cassel College and underwent tests that revealed the power of his Word Spirits.
• Lu Mingfei invited Zero to dinner, apologized for his past oversights, and told her that slaying dragons was his duty rather than his destiny because he wanted to live for himself.
