The entire floor belonged to the alpha—a sprawling apartment with a private elevator entrance.
The elevator was made entirely of transparent material. The moment its doors opened, Ye Nanxun, standing at the entrance, nearly staggered back, as though one more step forward would send him plummeting from a height of ten thousand meters.
"Afraid of heights?"
Yan Beiyou stepped into the transparent elevator first. Brilliant, magnificent lights illuminated the city behind the alpha, like a glittering golden sea of stars.

Sky rails crisscrossed and wound between steel towers, while aircraft and hovercars darted through them. Golden, blue, and white neon lights formed a dazzling, prosperous, and utterly extravagant city nightscape...
The splendor he had once seen only in videos and pictures now lay before his eyes.
The shock of experiencing it firsthand for the first time was beyond words. Ye Nanxun took out his phone and snapped several photos.
