One strand after another of soft yet springy noodles disappeared into his mouth.
His cheeks were stuffed full, moving as he chewed like an adorable little squirrel.
Sitting across from Cao Xi, Gu Pingsheng propped his chin on one hand and stared without blinking at the omega across from him, who had his head lowered so far it was practically in the bowl.
"Xiao Xi, lower your head any further and your hair's going to end up in the noodles." Gu Pingsheng reached over and gently lifted the omega's chin with his fingers.
Cao Xi first froze like a startled little squirrel, his eyes widening abruptly.
A second or two later, he shot Gu Pingsheng a fierce glare.
But with his cheeks puffed out, he did not look fierce at all. He was so adorable it could melt anyone's heart.
The doorbell rang, and Gu Pingsheng said, "That should be the delivery."
With that, the alpha got up and hurried out of the bedroom.
After swallowing the noodles in his mouth, Cao Xi took a tissue and wiped his lips. Looking at the small table before him and the noodles Gu Pingsheng had cooked for him, he suddenly felt like a helpless, delicate little thing.
Cao Xi's dorm was small. Even from the bedroom, he could hear what was happening outside.
The door clicked open. Gu Pingsheng said thank you, and then the door slammed shut again.
A few seconds later, Gu Pingsheng reappeared in Cao Xi's sight.
"Your favorite milk tea, half sugar. I got a matcha nama chocolate Basque cheesecake too—the new item from your favorite shop. Want to try it?"
