Fang Xing reunited with other examinees and rescued Zhong Yuxiu and Qi Lingzhen from an Evil God Cultist, then learned the Gate School was behind the crisis. He arrived at Blade Canyon just as the ritual trapping Gu Jiantong collapsed, confronting the Young Bishop.

• Fang Xing and Song Jingang followed Gu Jiantong's trail and encountered Zhong Yuxiu fleeing with the unconscious Qi Lingzhen, pursued by a Lower Evil God Servant and an Evil God Cultist.
