Uchiha Yuu understood what they were asking for, so he took a step back and left some room for negotiation. "I've encountered something like this disguise before. It's called White Zetsu, but finding the person behind it will take time, and it could involve a great many things."
He did not reveal that Uchiha Madara was still alive. Such a thing sounded more like a fantasy. Too much time had passed since the era of the First Hokage; no normal person could possibly have lived that long.
"I'll personally capture White Zetsu and make it display its abilities. Then Lord Hokage will understand just how strange this thing is."
After Uchiha Yuu repeatedly gave his assurances, the Third Hokage chose to trust him, as did the two Hokage advisors present. The only one with objections was Danzo, but he did not voice them this time. He also wanted to see what exactly this thing Uchiha Yuu spoke of was.
"Given how urgent the situation is, we cannot allow you to investigate without conditions or limits. You need to provide a reasonable deadline."
Even though the Third Hokage was highly rational and had made concessions, some matters could not be decided by the Hokage alone. There was too much to consider. The Uchiha family remained under surveillance, and a large number of ninja had to be dispatched to monitor their movements. If anything went wrong, they could only resort to the worst possible measure!
"One week. Give me one week, and I'll definitely catch it!"
Uchiha Yuu understood the urgency of the situation and had no intention of dragging things out. He needed to locate White Zetsu as soon as possible.
