Uchiha Yuu had just returned to the village and had not even had time to rest before hearing this bad news.
He immediately went to the main hall. Looking at the disheveled Deidara, whose face was filled with anger, he heard him shout furiously:
"What kind of monster did we dig up? How are they so different from the White Zetsu we know? Weren't they supposed to be asleep? They actually took the initiative to attack ninja."
The appearance of a group of White Zetsu had caught Iwagakure's ninja off guard, costing them a number of men and leaving Deidara extremely displeased.
"Your excavation must have damaged the tree roots. You definitely used explosions to dig, didn't you?"
It was not difficult for Uchiha Yuu to guess Deidara's temperament and the sort of thing he would do. He was also at fault for not warning Deidara beforehand.
Most White Zetsu were like ordinary people and did not possess much combat ability. They merely served as Chakra Fruit effects for others to use. However, there was another group of White Zetsu, larger in stature, who existed as weapons to protect Kaguya Otsutsuki.
The situation was already obvious. Deidara's explosions had damaged the Chakra Tree. These remaining roots had their own consciousness as well. Just as immune cells automatically attacked when a body was invaded by a virus, Deidara's recklessness had awakened these dormant White Zetsu.
"I only blew it up a little..."
After Uchiha Yuu mercilessly exposed what he had done, Deidara recalled the explosion that had soared into the sky. His tone lacked confidence as he hesitated before continuing:
"I didn't expect it to cause so much trouble. If I'd known this would happen, I definitely wouldn't have used C4 Explosive..."
"Apparently, your explosives blew up in your own face."
