Inside the Kazekage Building, Reto could not hide the smile on his face. After all, his side had taken second place, and they had no conflict of interest with the first-place team. In a roundabout way, Sunagakure was one of the greatest beneficiaries.
However, when the other Kage saw his smiling face, they secretly looked down on him.
In terms of overall team strength, Sunagakure had clearly been at the bottom. They had merely allied with the Flame Hidden Village and been carried to victory. Put bluntly, they had simply been lucky. Had the others known, they would have chosen the path of alliance from the start as well.
But it was too late to say any of that now. They might as well find a way to secure more benefits for their villages.
"We have no objections." As the party ceding resources, Hashirama nodded and looked toward Madara and Enkō. "Are you still choosing to forgo the Tailed Beasts?"
"That's right. We do not need Tailed Beasts." Enkō, standing beside Madara, spoke up. "We only need mineral and medicinal resources."
Just as Konoha did not care if the Tailed Beasts were distributed among other shinobi villages, the current Flame Hidden Village was not afraid of their threat either. Aside from already possessing the strongest Nine-Tails, they also had confidence born of strength. After all, who would dare use a Tailed Beast in front of the Mangekyo Sharingan?
"How much of these resources do you want?" Tobirama asked with a frown.
"Of course, the more, the better."
You sure had the nerve to ask. Why not just ask them to hand Konoha over to you outright?
The corner of Tobirama's mouth twitched. "We can give you resources, but they will not be free.
