Trap

Xu Mo stepped into the elevator.

Driven by their desire to survive, the two vampires gathered their courage and pounced on him.

But after only a few punches, the two recognized reality and became obedient.

He lifted one vampire off the ground.

"Tell me, where is your lair?"

"You..."

"Pfft!"

Xu Mo pulled his long blade from the other's chest and watched him turn to ash beneath his gaze.

He then lifted the other one.

"I'll talk, I'll talk!"

"Our base is beneath this bar!"

Before Xu Mo could speak, the vampire hurriedly answered.

He then pressed the elevator floor buttons in a pattern. A compartment opened beneath the buttons, and one marked Basement Level Two slid out.

Just then, Hill caught up from behind.

She heard what he had said.

"Looks like I'm a little late!"

"No, you came at just the right time!"

With that, Xu Mo drove the blade in his hand into the vampire's chest.

After pressing the newly appeared button in the elevator,

a powerful sense of weightlessness struck them as the elevator descended for a full half minute.

This confirmed for both of them that the so-called Basement Level Two was at least a hundred meters below Basement Level One.

"Ding!"

As the elevator doors opened, a dim room lay outside.

More than a hundred figures stood in the several-hundred-square-meter Main Hall.

Several bound girls stood among them.

The girls' wrists had all been cut open.

Streams of blood flowed from their wrists.

As if at a party, the surrounding vampires took turns stepping forward.

Several of the girls had already died from excessive blood loss.

Hill stared at the sight before her, which clearly made her uncomfortable.

Strangely, perhaps because this place was too well hidden, these people were completely unguarded and showed no reaction to the pair's arrival.

It was not until half a minute later that two vampires near the elevator noticed them emerging.

After seeing the two of them,

the male and female vampires' eyes lit up at the same time.

They immediately lunged at them.

Seeing this, Hill finally could not hold back. She pulled her pistol from her pocket and casually fired twice, taking out the two vampires.

The deafening gunshots echoed through the underground space.

All the vampires in the Main Hall froze, then turned to look in their direction.

Seeing Agent Hill holding a gun, the vampires immediately understood.

With furious roars, they charged toward them.

Xu Mo, stunned by the sheer scale of the scene, came back to his senses as well.

He moved in front of Hill.

Xu Mo watched the figures charging toward him one after another, howling angrily.

"A bunch of damned scum!"

"Your vile deeds are about to be exposed!"

As he spoke, an Ultraviolet Grenade appeared in his hand, and he casually threw it out.

A moment later,

a blinding light filled the entire space.

Exposure +1000!

Almost instantly,

the vampires were burned to ash by the light.

When the light faded, nearly all the vampires in the space had vanished. Only a few quick-reacting ones had escaped by hiding behind support pillars.

Hill let out a long breath.

"After this mission is over, I think I need some therapy!"

"Maybe what you need more is to blow off some steam!"

As he spoke, Xu Mo handed her the silver blade.

Hill reached out and took it.

She charged directly at the surviving vampires.

Although these vampires had survived, the intense light in the room had still scorched their skin.

At this point, they had virtually no ability to resist Hill.

In less than five minutes, all of the vampires had turned to ash.

Xu Mo took the lead and headed toward the passage across from the Main Hall.

At the end of the passage was another elevator.

"The defenses here are certainly tight enough!"

With no survivors left this time, Xu Mo took out his Adamantium battle blade and chopped the elevator doors to pieces in just a few strikes.

"Wait here. I'll go down first and check things out!"

With that, Xu Mo leaped into the pitch-black elevator shaft.

He landed lightly atop the elevator, cut an opening beneath his feet, and dropped into the elevator car.

After leaving the elevator, he found a corridor less than ten meters long outside.

At the end of the corridor stood a metal door.

The moment he reached it, the door slowly opened on its own, revealing the scene beyond.

In a dim Main Hall, a circle of pale-faced vampires sat around a sacrificial altar. Bound atop it was a girl of seventeen or eighteen.

The girl looked exactly like the one they had rescued from the castle earlier.

Xu Mo instantly guessed that she had to be that girl's younger sister!

Judging from the circle of vampires seated around her, they seemed to be conducting some kind of ritual.

Without the slightest hesitation,

Xu Mo switched to his modified pistol and raised it, firing a rapid series of shots.

Although he did not know what they were doing, when it came to enemies, as long as they wanted to do something, he could not go wrong by stopping them without thinking.

But clearly, these vampires held a certain status within the vampire community.

Their strength was also far beyond that of the vampires outside.

With agile leaps, they dodged the silver bullets flying toward them.

Then the vampires bared their sharp fangs and charged Xu Mo.

Xu Mo remained unmoved. He extended the fingers of his right hand and lightly traced through the air. The bullets the vampires had dodged curved around, turned back, and shot toward them again.

Their speed had also increased by at least double.

Caught completely off guard, the vampires were pierced by the bullets in an instant and turned to ash.

Xu Mo was just about to step onto the platform when his gaze sharpened and he stopped again.

A throwing knife flew from his hand, cutting the ropes around the girl. Then, pulled by her own clothes, she left the platform.

The unconscious girl woke up amid all the commotion.

She looked blankly at Xu Mo, who was holding her up.

"Who are you?"

Seeing that she seemed unharmed, Xu Mo set her down.

"I came to save you at your sister's request!"

A confused look appeared on the girl's face.

"Sister?"

"My parents only had one daughter. Where would I get a sister?"

Hearing this, Xu Mo froze, then his expression changed.

"Damn it!"

As he spoke, he grabbed her and was about to fly outside.

But he was still too late.

The surrounding walls were instantly enveloped by black energy.

A woman who looked exactly like the girl beside him slowly descended from the air.

"Trying to leave now? It's too late!"
