Xu Mo retrieved the Book of the Vishanti from a chamber beyond an iron door. At Kamar-Taj, Clea confronted the Illuminati over the book, and Xu Mo appeared through a Spatial Gate just as their attacks threatened to destroy her.

Dormammu invaded Earth through an expanding Spatial Gate, overwhelming the sorcerers as The Ancient One hesitated to use the Time Stone. Xu Mo and Clea arrived, and Xu Mo went to fetch Star Ji, who prepared to use the Darkhold and the Book of the Vishanti to help stop Dormammu.
