The Kage in Conference, the Hunters of Tailed Beasts

The Five Kage Summit continued. The current and former Kage discussed how to deal with Akatsuki of Amegakure, the mysterious Masked Man who claimed to be Uchiha Madara, and the Uchiha Clan, which was also hunting Jinchūriki.

Each Kage had his own views. Whenever they spoke, they asserted their strength and authority as Kage while trying to secure a little more for their villages.

Only Mifune, the general of the Land of Iron, and the head of the Underground Gold Exchange remained silent. Events in the Ninja World affected their factions, but nowhere near as urgently or painfully as they affected the Five Great Ninja Villages. The villages controlled nearly all the Jinchūriki, and other factions were quietly enjoying the sight of those Jinchūriki becoming prey.

So when another Jinchūriki was attacked, even a passerby who saw it would choose to flee.

No one would step in to help.

Obito Uchiha had the One-Tail, Three-Tails, Six-Tails, and Seven-Tails. All four Tailed Beasts had fallen into Akatsuki's hands. The Two-Tails, Four-Tails, Eight-Tails, Nine-Tails, and Five-Tails had yet to be captured.

Killer B returned to the Land of Lightning by a hidden route with the few Elite Jonin Kumogakure had left. He learned that Kumogakure had been reduced to ruins, that Raikage A had burned alive in a sea of flames, and that the head of the Swift Release Clan, which had long been at odds with the Moonlit Clan, had become acting Raikage.

"Lord Killer B, we should get to the island first. It's still too easy for the enemy to find us here."
