Chapter Summaries

Zhu Zhuqing met Ye Chen disguised as Hinata Hyuga and declared that she would kill Tang San, Dai Mubai, and everyone at Shrek. Ye Chen agreed to take her to meet Achen, where she would face a test to join the Akatsuki Organization.

• Tang San approved of Dai Mubai’s promise to make Star Luo Empire resources available to him.
• Zhu Zhuqing left the hotel alone and went to meet Hinata Hyuga after checking that nobody was following her.
• Ye Chen planned to take Zhu Zhuqing to the Akatsuki base, where Pain would make her a provisional member and test her loyalty by requiring her to kill one of her Shrek companions.
• Zhu Zhuqing embraced Ye Chen and said that everyone at Shrek deserved to die.
• Zhu Zhuqing vowed to kill Tang San, Dai Mubai, and everyone at Shrek, and Ye Chen offered to take her to meet Achen.

Ye Chen reassured Zhu Zhuqing that joining Pain’s organization would give her the power to kill Tang San, and prepared to lead her to Pain. He left her with his Hinata clone and took on the role of Achen, an organization errand runner, as Zhu Zhuqing set out to seek approval.

Ye Chen brought Zhu Zhuqing to Akatsuki’s base, where she asked to join the organization and revealed her despair over her family’s role as tools of the Star Luo Imperial Family. She confessed that she wanted revenge, to save her family, and to escape her fate, leaving Pain to judge her request.

• Ye Chen told Zhu Zhuqing Akatsuki sought to create a world where everyone could be happy, then took her by motorcycle to the organization’s base.
• Zhu Zhuqing entered the dark cavern and saw Pain and Konan standing on the fingers of the Evil God Statue.
• Zhu Zhuqing told Pain she wanted to join Akatsuki, and he asked her why.
• Zhu Zhuqing said she had lost faith in her lover, family, companions, and empire after learning her family were tools of the Star Luo Imperial Family.
• Zhu Zhuqing declared that she wanted revenge, to save her family, and to break free from her fate.

Deva Path of Pain persuaded Zhu Zhuqing that the world's inequality and suffering could only be ended through Akatsuki's Infinite Tsukuyomi. Zhu Zhuqing became drawn to the promise of reliving her childhood with the love and happiness she had been denied.

• Zhu Zhuqing blamed the world's laws of status and power for making her a pawn in the royal struggle and leaving her with no support beyond Dai Mubai.
• Deva Path of Pain told Zhu Zhuqing that Akatsuki sought to create a peaceful world where everyone could experience their deepest happiness.
• Zhu Zhuqing questioned whether everyone could truly be happy, and Deva Path of Pain explained that the Infinite Tsukuyomi would place people in dreams tailored to their desires.
• Deva Path of Pain claimed the Divine Realm had created a world of conflict and said the Infinite Tsukuyomi could free humanity from its shackles.
• Deva Path of Pain promised Zhu Zhuqing that she could restart her life with loving parents, cherished relatives, and a royal family, and Zhu Zhuqing began to imagine that happy childhood.

Zhu Zhuqing agreed to devote herself to the Eye of the Moon Plan and sought Akatsuki’s power to take revenge on Tang San, Dai Mubai, Shrek, and the Star Luo Imperial Family. Pain told her she had to kill one of her former companions within a month to pass Akatsuki’s test, and she hesitated as he urged her to accept the sacrifice.

• The Deva Path of Pain promised Zhu Zhuqing that the Eye of the Moon Plan would bring happiness to everyone, and she said she would give everything for it.
• Zhu Zhuqing vowed to kill Tang San, Dai Mubai, Ma Hongjun, everyone in Shrek, and the Star Luo Imperial Family before devoting herself fully to the plan.

• Zhu Zhuqing pledged loyalty to the organization, said she wanted a new life, and asked Deva Path of Pain to place the Witch Curse Mark on her.
• Ye Chen resolved to be the first to begin the Sea God's Nine Trials and considered how its rewards would help him defeat Tang San.
• Ye Chen exchanged 10,000 Reputation Points for a Witch Curse Mark, and a golden-purple symbol appeared in his palm.

Ye Chen gave Zhu Zhuqing the Witch Curse Mark so she could gain power to oppose Tang San, Dai Mubai, and the Star Luo Imperial Family. After Zhu Zhuqing endured the painful transformation and fainted, Konan asked Ye Chen about the curse mark and showed interest in its power.

• Ye Chen transferred the Witch Curse Mark to the Deva Path of Pain and warned Zhu Zhuqing that it could only be removed by death.
• Zhu Zhuqing agreed to receive the mark, determined to kill Tang San and Dai Mubai and destroy the Star Luo Imperial Family.
• The Deva Path of Pain applied the mark to Zhu Zhuqing's collarbone, and she endured the agony by recalling her painful past before losing consciousness.
