Buying a House

The Priestess recalled the scene and found that it had indeed happened just as Hyuga Jo said.

"So what are you planning to do now? Hide?"

Hyuga Jo fell into thought. Since he had seen several ninja in Al Pacino, it was like cockroaches—if you spotted one, there had to be countless more lurking out of sight.

Of course he had to hide. What if one of those Konoha ninja was from the Hyuga Clan? If they discovered him, wouldn't that be the end of it?

"Yes, I'm going to hide." Hyuga Jo nodded.

"All right. Then I'll head back to the guild first. We left so suddenly that Mr. Goblin Slayer still doesn't know. He should be waiting for us there," the Priestess said. "I'll tell him about this."

"Mm, go ahead. Be careful around people. Don't let anyone overhear you."

Hyuga Jo reminded her.

"Okay."

The Priestess nodded and left the alley.

Hyuga Jo poked his head out to watch the Priestess's retreating figure. After thinking for a moment, he used the Transformation Technique to take on the appearance of a fruit vendor from the street, then headed toward the inn.

After some thought, he decided that if he was going to hide, an inn with people constantly coming and going definitely wasn't suitable. Konoha ninja might stay at inns too. What if his luck was terrible and he happened to run into a Hyuga Clan ninja checking into the inn when he went out? Wouldn't he be finished?
