Plot points and events
- Haruka leaves Takuya’s home, then returns to make lunch. After Takuya clears the dishes, Haruka’s friends arrive, apparently to accompany her to Hoshinoumi Academy. Takuya goes upstairs to nap.
- At Hinomori High, Nao Tomori and Jōjirō Takajō arrange for Yuu Otosaka to take a test overseen by the school’s Student Council president. They wait nearby and summon Yuu over the intercom.
- Yuu is eating omurice made by his younger sister, Ayumi. He feels embarrassed by her affectionate message written on it, but appreciates their close bond and their difficult life without parents.
- Shirayanagi Yumi, the school’s popular beauty, joins Yuu for lunch. He privately congratulates himself: he had engineered a traffic accident using his possession ability to meet her, and believes her gratitude and growing affection will let him win her over. The intercom interrupts their lunch, frustrating him.
- Takuya receives a call from Nao, who orders him to come to Hinomori. He understands that Yuu is being tested because the story’s events are beginning, but declines to go and ignores an optional mission offering 50 Anime Points for witnessing Nao expose and beat Yuu.
- As Yuu begins the test, Nao photographs him and complains that Takuya has turned off his phone, promising to make him suffer for ignoring her order.
