"You admitted it!?"

Hearing Noer's words, which were practically an admission, Shin Asuka was stunned instead.

"The Extended Human experiments did indeed make use of my genetic data."

Noer nodded. There was really nothing to deny about that.

Very few people knew about it, but those who did carried considerable weight.

Basically, members of the older generation of the Supreme Council all knew something about it.

But he offered no further explanation. There was too much involved to explain it all in a short time.

"Then why did you just say none of this had anything to do with you!?"

Shin Asuka demanded sharply.

"What kind of tone is that? Get this straight: the Earth Alliance used my genetic data for research and created Extended Humans. By all rights, I'm a victim too!"

Noer frowned slightly and suppressed his irritation as he answered.

He felt that Asuka had been acting a little strange today. Better not provoke him.

"It should be mutually beneficial, shouldn't it!"

Shin Asuka replied coldly.

"What are you talking about?"

Noer frowned.

"Forget it. Whatever deal you people have between yourselves, I just want to help Stella!"

Shin Asuka did not pursue the matter any further.

Or rather, he did not care about any of that at all. He only wanted to save Stella.

"Sorry, but I really can't do that."

Noer shook his head and explained, "Stella's situation is complicated. She is indeed an Extended Human enhanced using my genetic data, but that doesn't mean I can save her. I'm not some genetic researcher."

Just as Shin Asuka was about to say something, Noer suddenly spoke again. "But I think there might be someone who can help you."

"Who?"

Shin Asuka's eyes immediately lit up as he looked at Noer.

"Chairman Durandal."

Noer answered directly.
