Yet even with disaster upon them, the birds and beasts whose minds had been controlled by Qiangliang showed no awareness of danger at all. They continued fighting within the flames.
The receding floodwaters were quickly baked into mist and vapor, clouds billowing all around. Yet under the Ancestral Witches' control, they began to gather instead, condensing into clouds. Thunder boomed within them and lightning coiled about, and for a time, both the Thunder and Fire divisions had their home ground stolen away.
