That invitation had been downright fucking awkward. Only now did the Yellow Emperor realize: how was he supposed to invite someone in when the man hadn't even appeared?
The Jade Emperor was looking forward to it. He would finally get to see this guy. The Queen Mother had mixed feelings. She had been in contact with Natural for quite a while, but had never seen his true form.
Guanyin, Zhen Yuanzi, and Yan Emperor weren't particularly eager. Whether that thing had a true form hardly mattered. Even if Natural Daoist wasn't a Heavenly Dao Incarnation, he was definitely inseparable from the Heavenly Dao.
Unfortunately, the Yellow Emperor stood there awkwardly for several minutes without anyone appearing. The people around him kept giving him strange looks.
The Yellow Emperor looked miserable. Forget it. He would go inside first and find out what this fellow actually wanted.
Entering the inner room, the Yellow Emperor waved his hand and set up restrictions around it. There were too many powerful figures here. Since Natural had asked for a private conversation, its contents obviously couldn't be allowed to spread. After all, the Yellow Emperor had once ruled an empire; he was meticulous about such things.
Unfortunately, he didn't know that a private chat with Qin Fen was already the strongest possible protection. Even if Lord Lao's true Saint form appeared in person, it would be useless.
Once inside, the Yellow Emperor found a seat and sat down. Another invitation stuck firmly in his throat. He had wanted to be polite, but now he could save himself the trouble.
"Might I ask what brings you here today, fellow Daoist?"
"The Jade Emperor got here pretty quickly!" Qin Fen didn't answer, changing the subject instead.
The Yellow Emperor's heart jolted. It seemed none of them were fools.
