The Him in My Heart (Lone Battle at the Ends of the Earth)

Ten years ago, a very ordinary college guy wrote a few things online just to ease the pain of a failed, unforgettable first love. He continued on and off for a few years, and slowly began to fall in love with this hobby that had started on a whim.

After scribbling for a few years, he got the idea to become a professional writer, and from then on there was no stopping him.

In early 2008, he officially stepped into Qidian. Desire Three Kingdoms: Sole Battle across the World (later renamed Chronicle of Evil Shadow) burst onto the scene. With passionate warfare as its main theme and battling the world alone as its background, he began his dream journey.

He wrote for two years and ten months. Back then his reputation was huge (he was very popular on many pirated websites), but as for his income—many legitimate supporters should know very well. From barely scraping by at the very beginning to later making less than five hundred a month, which wasn't even enough for basic living expenses, that was why he later rushed to wrap it up and abandoned the very first work of his formal writing career. Reality is very helpless and also very cruel. He believed many readers understood that when a person even has trouble surviving, everything else is just floating clouds. (Shadow's family background is very poor.)

After a period of reflection, he started looking for a job to make a living, but he still hadn't given up on his dream. He still wanted to give it a fight because he felt he was still young and could still chase his dream!

Reality taught him a lesson: dreams are not just something that can be realized, and they are not something a poor kid can pursue. His second book flopped spectacularly, flopping so hard he felt utterly ashamed. Alright, he admitted his mistakes and began searching for books that suited his own writing style, the market, and the readers' tastes. His third and fourth books met with continued tragedy. Despite the website's support of various major and featured promotions, in the end it was just him, this unlucky fellow, who lacked the fortune. All sorts of real-life matters came rushing at him—not just one or two, but a whole bunch of bad luck appearing all at once, crushing him and forcing him to give up writing. His third and fourth books ultimately ended with rushed endings.

In the blink of an eye, ten years have passed. The once green and inexperienced young man has now turned into a child's father, a wife's husband, and the pillar of a family. He no longer has time to squander, yet he is still unwilling to give up because his dream has remained unfulfilled!!

After some consideration, he still decided to pursue his dream for one last struggle! (I only learned in a recent casual chat that if he fails, he will leave for good.)

Forging the Sacred Court was uploaded under precisely these circumstances. He had a rough idea for this book several years ago and had been plotting it for years. His heart was very anxious and uneasy, fearing failure, because he no longer had much time to squander on chasing his dream and fulfilling his wish—after all, he still had a wife and children to support.

Fortunately there is the support of you, me, and everyone else, that we have the achievements of today! (Although it's not super popular, it's still pretty good. This is what he often says himself, though I don't agree.)

All for him, who has been pursuing his dream for ten years! Even though the road ahead is a blur of confusion, I still walk on, walking out my own path, supporting the him in my heart.
